About the dead rabbit? Haha… I wondered if anyone would get hung up on that. I decided that since it’s an illustration/promotional art, the rules can be bent for the sake of making a cool image. Back when I used to read a lot f manga, I remember seeing some artists do stuff like that in their illustrations, back when I used to read manga a lot, and I just thought it was a neat idea to like… set logic aside in favor of getting the emotion right! I see a lot of art playing with religious motifs when it comes to depicting Kankri and The Signless. I think in terms of symbolism that art is rad, and gorgeous. However people should not take the abundance of religious imagery in Vantas fanart to be canon indicators of the Vantas personality.
The only troll religions spoken of in the comic, were the Church of the Mirthful Messiahs, and the Cult of The Signless.
The Cult occurred after The Signless was horribly martyred, and it was a zealous reconstruction of his ideals militarized for violent revolution. The Signless didn’t live to be constered into some sort of prophet, his emphasis was that he was an equal to all trolls, as all trolls were an equal to him. He would not have wanted to be a religious figure.
Kankri may be preachy, holier-than-thou and self righteous, but none of that makes him religious in canon. His derision for all that the Cult of The Signless did to warp The Signless’ message is evident in his mocking use of 6’s and 9’s in his quirk. He mocks the shape of the shackles that the Cult worshipped. He doesn’t agree with the religion surrounding The Signless.
Karkat wears the symbol of The Signless’ shackles unknowingly on his shirt from childhood. He finds Gamzee’s devotion to the freaky clown cult weird, and generally seems ambivalent towards religion. But he does call himself a God. So you know, you can go nuts with the religious symbolism for Karkat. It would probably feed his hungry little ego.
I love art pieces saying how dependent that millennials are on technology that are made in Photoshop. Then posted in an online newspaper article. Which is then shared on social media.

Like yeah, we think of Michaelangelo as a painter, but it’s because the church kept paying him to paint. He thought he wasn’t that great at it. He preferred to sculpt. Like that was his jam. But noooooo the church wanted more paintings.

NB TROLL HELL YEAH!!! Also two art trolls alrighty. I always tied indigos with art like things which is interesting because they’re making ANOTHER tie between olive bloods and indigos. Is there a specific similarity??? Do they just naturally get along well??? I don’t think so. Probably because I think that Charun and Amisia have an antagonistic relationship with eachother. It seems like Charun has a natural ability for art. It’s their hobby instead of their job that they’re supposed to have because of the hempspectrum. They’re into lost and found art so I’m guessing they’re super creative and resourceful and they have a natural talent. Amisia on the other hand does not. She pays for the best classes, the best supplies(gross) but she lacks the creativity that you need to be an artist.
I’m guessing that’s why they were put together, I’m guessing we have our (maybe) first black rom??? Ideas???
